As one of the prayer leaders for National Day of Prayer in Tulsa yesterday, I was led by the Spirit to do something unexpected.
Sitting on the pew awaiting my turn to pray, Holy Spirit began to reveal what He wanted me to say. It started with, "When you introduce yourself, let them know who I say you are."
As I was wrestling with it, trying to decided if I was going to obey or not, the Lord then reminded me of my prayer the night before, "Whatever you say, Lord, that's what I'll do."
Talk about being backed into a corner! But in the best way. Because I only want to obey, no matter the response and repercussions of others.
I stepped up to the podium and said, "As much as I would love to tell you how I am a pastor from Owasso, I must tell you who I really am. I am Kade Young, an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ."
Then I delivered a powerful message from the Lord about how He is healing the deformed church by restoring the gift of the Apostle and Prophet.
It takes all five gifts listed in Ephesians 4:11 for the church to be whole.
The crowd was awestruck. They began to cheer as the truth was revealed. Jesus entered the room with great authority, and everyone knew it.
To get where Jesus wants us to go, the status quo church must be interrupted so it can be healed and restored.
