In Christ, we've been redeemed from every curse.
This includes every curse passed down from your ancestors and any curse spoken over you by yourself or someone else.
Every single curse has lost its right to torment your life!
But your redemption must be enforced. As Christ's ambassador in a place that we are no longer a part of, we must enforce the kingdom of God.
If you don't enforce your freedom, those pesky curses will torment you even though they don't have the right to.
Don't allow sickness or disease of any kind. Don't allow poverty or lack of any amount. Don't allow defeat in any situation.
You are no longer cursed. You are blessed by God.
Not only are you now able to live free from the curse, but you are to be overtaken by the blessing of the Lord.
If you want what God wants, you must believe what God says.
There is often a barrier between our desire and our faith. Although we want what God has promised, we don’t actually believe for it because... fill in the blank.
Desire is not how we receive from God; faith is. The only way to access every spiritual blessing is by faith.
This seems obvious, but we get desire and faith confused pretty easily. Just because you want what God wants doesn’t mean you will receive it.
You must stir up that desire until you’ve rid your thoughts of all doubt and unbelief. Then you are able to receive by faith.
Wanting what God wants is a great thing. Just don’t stop short of faith.
Stir up that desire until your want turns into an “I already have it because my Father gave it to me in Christ.”
Holy and without fault. That's how God sees you when you are in Christ.
God chose to see you this way in advance, before you even came to Christ.
It was His plan all along that as soon as you believed in Jesus, He would see your faults no longer.
From God's point of view, you are now holy and without fault. Not because you are living perfectly, but because you are in Christ.
All that noise in your head trying to get you consumed with your faults... that's not God. He chose, in advance, to see you as holy and without fault.
So, who is doing all that accusing? It's pretty clear to see that it is satan posing as a false advocate of righteousness.
God does lead you in paths of righteousness, but not by highlighting your faults.
Rather, He invites us to see ourselves the way He does: holy and without fault, all because of Jesus Christ.
Every. Spiritual. Blessing.
Every one of them! God has given it all to you because you are in Christ.
He is not withholding. It's all available to you.
These endless, unfathomable blessings are in the heavenly realm, not the earthly realm. If you are to experience them here on the earth, you must first take hold of them by the spirit.
You know what this means? You don't wait to see it to believe that you have it. Rather, you believe that you have it because God said it.
And as you hold fast, what you believe will become your reality.
How long does it take? It doesn't matter to the one who believes it is already done.
Everything you need is already available to you in Christ. Reach into the heavenly realm by faith and partake of God's endless treasures.
Just because we are doing something for God doesn’t automatically make it fruitful.
We tend to equate hard work with progress. When doing things with zeal, we think it proves our obedience.
Imagine you are in a steady-moving stream. If you swim upstream, you’ll work hard to get nowhere.
But if you rest on your back, you’ll become one with the movement of the water and make consistent progress without effort.
Think of Mary and Martha with Jesus. Mary was sitting at the feet of Jesus, consumed to simply be with Him. Mary was distracted doing things for Jesus.
Just because we are doing something for God doesn’t automatically make it fruitful.
Let’s not be impressed by our own doing, but instead focus on flowing with Jesus. Sit at His feet and become one with Him.
If He needs you to do something, He will tell you, and you will do it. But it only becomes this simple when we prioritize resting in Him.
Jesus gave us authority over all the enemy’s power.
So, why is it not a reality in the life of many believers? The second half of Ephesians breaks it down.
It begins with the body of Christ becoming one. This is only accomplished as we are humble, gentle, and patient with each other’s faults.
Then we must recognize and submit to the leadership gifts Christ gave to the church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. It is only through submission to these gifts that we become mature enough to remain as one.
This leads us to living our lives as Jesus did, where we throw off our old nature and put on our new nature, truly righteous and holy.
The progression continues in the home as the wife submits to the husband as to the Lord, the husband loves the wife as Christ loves the church, and the children obey.
It even overflows into everyday life as we work enthusiastically for our leaders as unto the Lord.
All of this makes way for spiritual authority. We must first submit to God in all these things before we can successfully resist the devil.
