Abundance Follows Jesus

When Jesus shows up, abundant provision shows up.

I know this is controversial, but it's not hard to see.

When Jesus came as a baby, the wise men were attracted to Him like a magnet, bringing ultra-valuable gifts.

Then at the end, right before ascending, He instructed the disciples (who had caught nothing all night) to throw their nets again, and they caught more fish than they could handle.

And you know what the best part is? Jesus had breakfast ready for them when they got back to shore! He met their needs not from the haul of fish they just caught, but on His own.

As the scriptures say, "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and He will give you everything you need."

It is also written that God gives you power to get wealth.

Not only does He meet needs, but He shows you how to capture abundance.

So go ahead and lean in for your instruction. How does the Lord want YOU to pull in great abundance?

Delivered from spirit of FEAR

At church this past Sunday, I witnessed a lady get delivered from the spirit of fear.

It manifested in sharp, sudden movements—throwing her neck around and shaking it back and forth.

One of the gifts of the Spirit is "discerning of spirits," when the Holy Spirit gives you the ability to see into the spiritual realm. This is how I knew it was a spirit of fear.

What I saw with my eyes didn't match what the Holy Spirit was revealing to me. I wouldn't have guessed in a thousand years that the spirit of fear would manifest in this way.

But when I saw it through discerning of spirits, I almost laughed out loud. I always imagined it to be an intimidating spirit that made people afraid. But that's not it at all.

The spirit of fear is terrified! It was huddled in a corner, shaking in fear. It turns out that it's just looking for company. It wants someone to be afraid with it.

The key to her freedom was confessing, "I am not afraid!"

After proclaiming this out loud a few times, the spirit of fear knew it had lost its buddy and went running for its life. After years of torment, this lady shouted, "It's gone! It's gone!"

This is why the Lord commands us not to be afraid or discouraged (Joshua 1:9). It's a choice you make.

Say this, "I am not afraid. God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind."

Criticism = The Devil's Work

Every time you criticize, you are working for the devil.

Whether you are critical of other people, or yourself, it still rings true: Criticism is not a spiritual gift and not of God.

All the people on YouTube criticizing well-known ministers? The devil's work. Those gossip sessions you've walked up on? The devil's work.

The Bible says to be patient with each other's faults, not critical. It also says that satan is the accuser, not Jesus.

If I were you, I'd get rid of critical thoughts and make them obey Christ by only thinking on what is good and praiseworthy.

Keep this in mind! You might want to change some things.

Who makes your decisions?

A majority of decisions center around money.

When faced with options, we default to questions like:

  • Which one is cheaper?
  • What's the best bang for my buck?
  • What gives the best financial return?

This is so normal that we don't think anything of it. But I'm here to shake things up.

Jesus said you can serve God or money, but not both. In other words, either God is making your decisions, or money is.

Jesus revealed what it looks like to take money off the throne of our lives. He didn't consider money AT ALL when making decisions.

My favorite example is when it was time to pay taxes. Apparently, they didn't even think about taxes until the due date, so His disciple frantically asked what to do.

Without even a pause, Jesus told Him to go fishing and he would find a gold coin in a fish's mouth. A quick and miraculous solution to what most people would consider a big deal.

Jesus understood that there were bills to pay, but He was never bothered by them. He knew God had the answer, so He leaned in to heaven's wisdom and did whatever was revealed.

Let's do what Jesus did. Take money off the throne and let God make our decisions. Stop asking how much it costs, and instead ask God what He wants.

Sneakiest of All Doubts

If it were only about salvation, Jesus would have gone straight to the cross. But He took a beating first to make provision for you to live healed and whole in this life.

So why are so many Christians sick?

There's only one reason: doubt. However, it presents itself in many different ways.

The sneakiest of all doubts is one that makes you feel responsible by doing your "due diligence."

It's when you research online and in the Word of God, analyzing all the potential causes and solutions. You become like a doctor to find both the diagnosis and the cure.

For several years, I had a growth in one of my nostrils that completely blocked airflow. I researched, diagnosed, and tried many things, including speaking the Word in faith.

But since my focus was tied up in the mental realm, I could not hear the answer from the Holy Spirit. Truthfully, I wasn't looking to the Spirit for the answer—I was looking to my own reasoning.

Years of suffering with a nasal polyp for no reason, because the Holy Spirit had the answer the whole time.

He led me to stop something I had been doing daily for over ten years: using a certain hair gel. I finally heard the instruction, stopped, and the growth was gone in two weeks.

This is the sneakiest of all doubts because it feels responsible. But Jesus never instructed us to diagnose and find a cure. He already cured it!

It's simple. We must trust that the Holy Spirit has the answer and wants us to have it right now. Quiet your reasoning, listen to the Spirit, and do what He tells you.

Demon possessed? How to know?

A demon interrupted our Easter service at NoLimits Church.

It became the most dramatic and amazing deliverance I have ever seen. A woman was delivered from many demons as the entire church engaged in casting them out.

An experience like this always leaves people wondering, "How do I know if I have a demon?"

Let me put you at ease. You'll know.

As you read about Jesus casting out demons, you find out that they manifested in one of three ways:

  1. Cried out with a loud noise
  2. Threw a person into convulsions
  3. Prevented the person from speaking (mute)

The demon-possessed were often brought to Jesus by their loved ones, meaning that it was obvious they were possessed.

You'll find lots of teaching on YouTube about demons and how they can hide and may be the cause of this or that. But since this teaching brings fear, we know it is not from God.

Jesus didn't command us to study demons. He just said to cast them out, which means it'll be obvious when to do so.

The lady delivered during our Easter service was brought by her mom. They already knew she needed deliverance.

So relax. Keep yourself in the peace and joy of God, because there, the devil and his shenanigans are nowhere to be found.
