Today, that struggle ends. All you need is the truth, and it will set you free.
So, here it is. You think that Jesus forgives sin, and then it ends right there. Not true.
The blood of Jesus gives you much more than forgiveness. It breaks the power of sin over your life.
Romans 6:6 declares that sin has lost its power in our lives.
Romans 6:14 declares that sin shall not have dominion over you any longer.
Romans 8:2 declares that the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
The truth is, as soon as you believe that the power of sin is broken because of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit, sin will lose every battle from that point forward.
We will continue to be tempted. But once we recognize that sin has no power over us, we overcome every temptation and come out stronger each time.
You've been freed, my friend. That temptation has nothing on you.
