A majority of those who call themselves Christian in America are resistant to faith.
You see this very clearly when you step out in faith and then try to confide in someone else in the church.
Oftentimes, even the pastor is resistant to faith.
As a young boy, Kenneth Hagin was lying in bed waiting for death. Then he came across Mark 11:23-24 and began to wonder if God really meant that you could have what you believe through speaking.
There was great resistance to this scripture in his thoughts, but he couldn't let it go. So he called for a pastor to come explain it to him, and instead of bolstering faith, the pastor prepared him for death.
That's the response you get from most Christians when you want to take God at His Word.
The pastor's faithless response to Kenneth didn't discourage him, but lit the fire of faith. Something stirred within to stand on the Word of God, no matter what he saw or what others said.
Guess what happened? The young boy who should have died rose off his sickbed and went on to lead one of the most impactful ministries the world has ever seen.
Why did this happen for him when it doesn't happen for others?
Not because God picks and chooses who He wants to heal. But because few actually believe what God said in His Word.
I refuse to take part in faith-resistant Christianity, and I hope you'll join me. It's time to believe that God meant it when He said we could ask Him for anything, and He will do it.
