There are several hints throughout the Bible that seem to point that way—the most prominent in Genesis 29.
Jacob (later named Israel) falls in love with Rachel and agrees to work seven years for her, but her father Laban tricks him into marrying her older sister Leah instead. Then, a week later, Jacob married Rachel too, agreeing to work another seven years.
This whole debacle represents Christ coming for Israel, God's chosen people, only to be rejected. Salvation was then made available to the Gentiles (Leah) for a time. And when that time ends, Jesus will come back for Israel (Rachel).
Guess how old Jacob was when he married the two sisters? 84.
In Matthew 24, Jesus tells us that His return is very near when you see the fig tree budding, representing Israel becoming a nation once again. This happened in 1948, making Israel 77 years old.
The rapture of the church is when Jesus "marries" the Gentiles. Then, seven years later, he will "marry" the Jews.
I'm sure you've done the math by now. But in 7 years, Israel will be 84 years old.
If the rapture happens this year during the Feast of Trumpets, kicking off the 7-year tribulation, I wouldn't be surprised one bit. The question is, would you?
