Does He permit it to teach us or refine us? Is healing withheld for some higher purpose?
Why do good people get sick, and even die from sickness?
Everyone has wrestled with these questions at one point or another. Our desire is to live healthy, but when it doesn't happen, we desperately look for meaning within the sickness.
At the peak of this pursuit, sickness becomes an identity.
And it sounds like this: "I'm a diabetic." Or, whatever you are dealing with.
As we work to find cures for the ailments we face today, those discovering answers are quickly shut down by those who identify with sickness. Because when you identify with something, it becomes personal when someone comes to take it away.
But what if we gained God's perspective, revealed through Jesus Christ?
His glory comes in the healing, not the sickness. And according to the works of Christ, God's will is always to heal.
But, we must want it to the point that we break the tie with sickness and believe for complete healing.
Only believe. That's all that's required to be healed.
