Our generation is out of touch with prophecy, dreams, and visions.
We are so consumed with data, concrete evidence, and analyzing the facts that we struggle to believe that God still speaks the way He always has—through prophecy, dreams, and visions.
Now, here we are in the last days where Joel's prophecy is coming to pass. God's Spirit is being poured out on all flesh. From the children to the grandparents, God is generously providing prophesies, dreams, and visions.
But since we are unskilled in interpretation, many are making mistakes. God is not bothered with these mistakes, either. He is excited to work with us as we gain His understanding.
The first thing we need to understand is that prophecy is not date setting.
When we apply a specific date to a prophecy, it is a wrong interpretation.
Yes, Holy Spirit tells us things to come. But He doesn't give us a specific date.
I've made this mistake many times: I receive a prophecy and then assume the timeframe. The prophecy was accurate, but my schedule wasn't.
We must learn not to worry about the timing. If God said it's coming, then it's coming.
Like it says in Habakuk 2:3, it may seem late to us, but it's not. It will show up, and it will be right on time.
