You may question, "Is this me? Is this the devil? Is this God?"
Really, you can take yourself out of the equation. Because the real question is, "Does what I'm hearing align with God or the devil?"
There's one question that will help clear it up almost every time:
Am I hearing a loving father or an accuser?
Jesus referred to God as "Abba, Father" because that's who He is. He doesn't put us down, call us names, or focus on our failures. Instead, He leads us with grace and truth.
Many people online believe they are doing the Lord's work by pointing out faults and failures. But they aren't speaking for God. They are speaking for the devil—the accuser.
While the devil focuses on pointing out all your faults, Jesus pleads your case before the Father. Do you know what He says about all those who believe in Him? "Not guilty! They are washed in the blood. Their sins are forgiven. The price has been paid."
Don't misunderstand. God corrects those He loves. But it will never sound like an accusation or criticism. It comes as a light in the darkness —an answer in the chaos, paired with the power to make the change.
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.
Pay no attention to the accuser, whether it be in your thoughts or in the comments online. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and the finisher of your faith.
