It is common for these to consider it selfish. Who will preach the gospel if the church is caught up to meet the Lord in the air?
Although this mindset seems genuine and caring, it is actually rooted in self-righteousness.
The Great Tribulation is the plan of God revealed in the book of Revelation. We don't like it. And we surely don't understand why such destruction is necessary. Nevertheless, it is divinely orchestrated by God.
His end-time plan is laid out in great detail. God even tells us how the lost will be saved during the tribulation, and it's not through the church. It's through the two witnesses and the 144,000.
For us to think that a pre-tribulation rapture of the church is a bad idea is to position ourselves against the plan of God. Basically, we're saying, "Hey God, I have a better idea. The church needs to stay behind so the lost can get saved. Don't you see that?"
Let me remind you of something. God's ways are not our ways. He sees the end from the beginning. He knows all things. His plan is absolutely perfect, even though it seems illogical to us.
God will have His way. Genuine believers will meet the Lord in the air prior to the tribulation to enjoy the marriage supper of the Lamb. And that great event will take place any day now.
It's time to stop leaning on your own understanding and submit to the plan of God.
