Many believers are distracted by striving to do more for God.
It's a distraction that many never escape because it feels so righteous.
Jesus said, "Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."
You are either striving or abiding. You are either working to impress God or working with Him.
Jesus demonstrated what abiding looks like. He only did what He saw the Father doing. That's it.
You can't see what the Father is doing if you are busy doing things just to be doing things.
No more striving. Put all that effort towards being with your Heavenly Father.
He'll show you what to do. It probably won't be as much or as quick as you think it should, but you'll find that His ways are better.
