Honoring Others' Convictions

March 30, 2026 by Kade Young

As believers in Jesus Christ, we won’t agree on everything.

Some will think it’s wrong to eat certain foods, others won’t. Some will think church should be on a certain day, others won’t.

As we work diligently to unpack the scriptures, we will come to different conclusions at different times.

Even when we receive prophecy as a gift from the Holy Spirit, we only see a part of it. And the part that we get is not at odds with the part someone else gets. We just have to patiently work together to see the full picture.

If you have a hard time wrapping your head around this, go read Romans 14. It spells out exactly what I am saying.

We must learn how to honor others’ convictions, especially when they are not our own. We are not to condemn or make light of them.

The world will know us by our love one for another. It’s time we show them.
