Abundance Follows Jesus

May 1, 2025 by Kade Young

When Jesus shows up, abundant provision shows up.

I know this is controversial, but it's not hard to see.

When Jesus came as a baby, the wise men were attracted to Him like a magnet, bringing ultra-valuable gifts.

Then at the end, right before ascending, He instructed the disciples (who had caught nothing all night) to throw their nets again, and they caught more fish than they could handle.

And you know what the best part is? Jesus had breakfast ready for them when they got back to shore! He met their needs not from the haul of fish they just caught, but on His own.

As the scriptures say, "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and He will give you everything you need."

It is also written that God gives you power to get wealth.

Not only does He meet needs, but He shows you how to capture abundance.

So go ahead and lean in for your instruction. How does the Lord want YOU to pull in great abundance?

Further Reading: The Way to Abundance

When Jesus shows up, abundance shows up. Not in a hypey, televangelist way—but in real, practical provision that actually meets needs and builds the Kingdom.

Let’s be clear: abundance is not the goal. The Kingdom is the goal. But when the Kingdom is your focus, provision comes with it.

Jesus said, "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." That verse is not poetic filler—it’s the clearest road map to provision you’ll ever get.

Provision Follows Purpose

If you're worried about provision, it's because your eyes have drifted. You're trying to solve what Jesus already handled. Look at how He lived: every need was met, every time. Not once did Jesus scramble for cash or hustle for support.

Why? Because He was 100% about His Father’s business. He only did what He saw the Father doing. He said what the Father said. And provision followed.

Let’s make this practical. If God tells you to do something, He will fund it. You might not have it in the bank yet—but you’ve got what you need to take the next step. Go ahead and take it.

That’s how faith works.

End-Time Wealth Transfer Isn’t For Everyone

God is not handing out wealth to whoever asks. He’s transferring it to those who are advancing His Kingdom. If you’re thinking about how you’ll spend it on yourself, the transfer is not coming to you.

This is not about lifestyle upgrades or brand-name blessings. It’s about being positioned to receive and steward resources for God’s purposes.

Jesus told a story about a master who gave his servants talents. Two multiplied what they were given. One buried it. The one who played it safe had his talent taken and given to the one who produced more.

That’s the wealth transfer in action. This isn’t about fairness. It’s about faithfulness.

Provision is Waiting on Perspective

Most people block provision without realizing it. How? By obsessing over their own needs.

Jesus made it simple: Stop worrying. Birds don’t stress about their next meal. Flowers don’t panic over fashion. And you’re worth more than both.

When your focus is the Kingdom, your needs get added automatically.

It may sound irresponsible. But it’s actually the most responsible thing you can do—because it frees you up to obey God completely. When your mental energy isn’t spent on anxiety, it’s available for purpose.

God’s Not Against Wealth—He’s Against Misplaced Trust

The Bible never says money is evil. It says the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. There’s a big difference.

If God hated wealth, He wouldn’t have made Abraham or Solomon rich. He wouldn’t have promised to supply all your needs and give you more than enough to share.

The problem isn’t wealth. The problem is when your hope is in wealth. That’s why Paul warned the rich to not trust in money, but in God, who richly provides all things for our enjoyment.

Wealth is a tool. Use it for good. Let it flow through you, not stop with you.

The Flow of Provision

God’s supply is not a savings account. It’s a river.

The Holy Spirit gave me a picture once: your provision is like water in a pipe. If you try to store it up, the pipe clogs. But if you let it flow, the pipe stays full—because there’s always more coming.

The world teaches you to hoard. God teaches you to release. It’s backwards to the natural mind, but it’s how Kingdom economics work.

Generosity is not just nice—it’s necessary. It keeps the flow open.

Obedience Unlocks Supply

We’ve gotten into the habit of waiting for provision before we obey. But Kingdom flow works the other way.

Obey first. Then the provision comes.

When God asked us to build something bigger than we could afford, we didn’t sit around waiting. We took the step we could take. And the moment we moved, the money for that step showed up.

This is the pattern of faith: walk while it looks empty, and the way will fill in.

Abundance Has a Purpose

God gives wealth to establish His covenant. That means every dollar has an assignment. You’re not here to accumulate. You’re here to distribute.

It’s time to think bigger. Break out of the budget mindset that’s always trying to save $20. God’s thinking in millions to fund vision. Are you ready to steward that level of flow?

You don’t need to chase wealth. Just chase God. And when He speaks, obey. That’s how you’ll find yourself in the middle of more than enough.

And don’t apologize for abundance. Just point it back to Jesus.

Final Encouragement

Jesus is not just the provider. He is provision. When He shows up, everything you need is already there. Don’t waste time stressing over lack. Tune your ears to heaven. He has a Word for you today that unlocks overflow.

So, what’s He saying? Lean in. Listen close.

Then do it—because abundance is waiting on the other side of your obedience.
