We speak of patience as if it's a limited resource.
We say things like, "My patience is wearing thin" or "I just don't have patience for that."
This reveals that we don't recognize where patience actually comes from.
It's a fruit of the Spirit. It's an expression of agape love. Which means patience comes from God.
There is no human match to the patience of God. It goes far beyond our limits. It is a deep well that just keeps on giving.
The next time you feel like you are running out, it's time to draw from what's already in you.
