If Jesus were here today, I'm convinced He would tell us a parable about Amazon to teach us about faith.
When you order something on Amazon, you immediately consider it yours even though you haven't received it yet.
While you are waiting for it to arrive, you don't even worry about it. Since you placed the order, you trust it is on its way.
Even if it's delayed, you get a little frustrated, but you still trust that it's coming.
Regardless of how much time it took to arrive, you are excited when it comes. Not surprised, because you knew it was coming. But it is exciting to receive what you ordered.
If we put as much trust in God as we do in Amazon, we would receive everything He has promised.
First, believe God has it, just like you believe Amazon has whatever you are ordering.
Then, place your order by speaking what you believe. Once spoken, the order has been placed, and you can trust that it will arrive.
God doesn't promise a specific delivery time. But He does promise that we will receive anything we ask Him for in faith.
Whether it comes quickly or seems delayed, it will come as long as we don't give up.
